C.W. Myers died at Dodge City, Kansas, last Saturday, and the remains were brought to this city for interment Monday. Funeral services were conducted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Hurst, Tuesday morning, by Rev. E.G. Manley. The deceased had been ill with consumption for the past year. He sought to regain his health at Las Vegas, N.M. but without avail. The remains of Clinton Myres (sic), who died on the train at Dodge City last Saturday, were brougt to this city Monday evening and taken to the home of his brother-in-law, H.O. Hurst, where the funeral services were held Tuesday morning. The interment was in the Oswego cemetery. Mr. Myres was the husband of Bessie Shrout, daughter of Mrs. A.T. Shrout of this city. Deceased's home was in Oklahoma City, but he and wife and baby had been in New Mexico for his health for some time, he being afflicted with tuberculosis of the throat. He grew worse and was on his way to Oklahoma City when he died. The remains were accompanied to Oswego by the father and brother of the deceased and Alva Shrout. Mrs. Myres has the sympathy of many Oswego friends, who sympathize with her in her great affliction.
