Edythe C. Myers, 81, of 210 E. Market St. in Wolcott, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2004, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born December 15, 1922 in New Albany, Ind., to John and Ruth (Ratliff) Andres. She moved to the Wolcott area as a small child on a farm northeast of Wolcott in 1957.
She married Melvin Myers on March 17, 1944. He preceded her in death in December of 1981.
She is survived by a son, Robert Myers of Wheeling, West Virginia, four daughters, Bonnie (Jeff) Martin of Noblesville, Ind., and Carol (Pete) Totorici of Chandler, Arizona, and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Dennis.
A 1940 graduate of Wolcott High School, she attended St. Francis College her freshman years.
She was a homemaker and a was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Remington. She would have received her 50-year award in June as a member of the young at Hearts Home Extension Club.. She was also a member of the Alter and Rosary Society and the White County Chorus.
Visitaion will be held on Monday, February 2 from 4-8 p.m. EST, at the Foster Funeral Home at 202 West School St. in Wolcott. A Rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. EST, on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at 11 a.m. EST at the Sacred Heart Church, with Reverend Thomas Fox officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Remington.
