VERA L. ANDERSON, 81, of New Haven, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at home. Born in Middle Point, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Merrit and Florence Myers. She was a member of Eagles 3164 and Navy Ship Club 245. She retired in 1989 from Magnavox Corp after 28 years. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Maurice; son, Tim Anderson of New Haven; daughters, Barbara Stowe-Ludwig of Fort Wayne, Denice (Rick) Presson and Kay (Tim) Parnin, all of New Haven; sister, Linda Bailey of New Haven; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Merrit Myers; and sisters, Ruth Kline, Juanita Murchland, and Betty Beech. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Pastor David Atchley Jr. officiating. Calling also from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
