Mrs. Ella Cora Atkinson was a daughter of Charles and Sharah (Smith) Myers and was born August 18, 1867, in Orristown, Franklin County, Pa. She was united in marriage to Mr. Atkinson on the 9th of January, 1894. They lived in Steelton for some years and then moved to Linglestown, where they resided one year. In 1907 Mr. Atkinson purchased the Mansion House and came here, where he and his wife have since made their home.
The deceased is survived by her husband, three brothers, and one sister namely; Alvin Myers of Chambersburg; William Myers, of Shippensburg; Hugh Myers, of Dakota, and Mrs. Mary Barnhart, of Shippensburg.
Mrs. Atkinson was a kind-hearted woman, of amiable disposition and pleasant manners. She had won many friends among the people here and all who knew her admired and respected her.
Funeral serivces were held at the house last evening at 7 o'clock, conducted by Rev. John W. Weeter, and interment was made in the Baldwin Cemetery, Steelton, this morning.
