Mrs. Barrett was a native and lifelong resident of the Linwood community in Neshoba County. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Neshoba County General Hospital for 15 years before retiring. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Linwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Chuck Barrett and his wife, Roma of Union and Billy Barrett and his wife, Nancy of Union; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Adelean McMillan of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee “Ted” Barrett; daughter, Lynda Sue Howard; great-grandson, Scott Sally; sisters, Louva Dee Hardy and Grace Johnson; and brothers, James Myers and Johnny Myers.
