To this union were born three children, George W., Lucinda B. and Philip W. Two of these survive her, George W. having given his life on the field of battle during the rebellion in defense of his country.
On October 26th, 1854, she was married to John Myres, whose death occurred April 14th, 1894.
Grandma Myres, as she was so familiarly called, leaves many relatives and friends to mourn her departure. Besides the surviving son and daughter, there are sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grand-children living, and five great grand-children have proceeded her to the spirit world.
Grandma was a life long Christian, having joined the church in early life. Her first active church work was in fellowship with the M.E. Church. In later years she became a member of the United Brethren Church and remained an ardent supporter and an untiring worker for the Father's House on High.
Peaceful be her rest, and mercy, love and grace be upon the dear ones who tarry here and mourn until the clouds shall lift and the shadows of the night shall flee away.
The funeral services were held at the home of John F. Myres, seven miles north of Kentland, conducted by Rev. Stanley, Presiding Elder of Williamsport District, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Tuggle, of Morocco.
