On May 23, 1817 he secured, at the Vincennes Land Office, the East Half of NW Quarter,Section 30, Township 4, Range 6 in what became Bogard Twp.Daviess Co., IN.-near Cornettsville. On January 18,1818, he acquired West Half of this NW qtr., Section 30, Twp. 4, Range 6. He farmed this land for the rest of his life.
