Mrs. Patty M. Compton, age 76, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (April 10, 2012) at her home. Born June 5, 1932 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Pierce and Lucy Breeding Musick. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include two sons, Darryl "Chunky" Compton and wife, Billie Jean of Honaker, Virginia and Kerry L. Compton of the home; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters; June Eaton of Port Clinton, Ohio and Polly Ketron and Mary Ruth Walker both of Kingsport, Tennessee; very special friend, Katie Miller; very special caregiver, Della Walters and lifelong friends, Kermit and Lorene McGlothlin and Ben and Phyllis Miller also survive.
Graveside services were conducted at 2:30 PM Wednesday at the Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia with Pastor Katie Miller officiating. Interment followed.
Family served as pallbearers.
