FREDERICK - Funeral for Marie Allen, 89, Frederick, will be at 11 a.m. today at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Baker and the Rev. James Muse officiating.
Mrs. Allen died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in Frederick.
Private family burial will be in Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 27, 1919, in Waurika, to Robert and Lou Elizabeth Baker Muse. She attended country schools in Wilbarger County, Texas. She married Milton R. Allen on Sept. 14, 1941, in Tipton. He died March 11, 1971. She had worked on the assembly line at Centra Leather Goods in Frederick. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Frederick.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Dale Baker, Frederick; a son, Richard Allen, Kemp, Texas; two sisters: Opal Baldwin, Edmond; and Faye Cobb, Freeport, Texas; four grandchildren and spouses: Kevin and Meri Kayla Baker, Kirk and Shea Baker and Keith and Becky Baker, all of Altus; and Michael and Wendy Allen, Waxahachie, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Jonathan, Kody, Ashlee, Kory, Kelsee, Joshua and Jordyn Baker, Matthew and Brianna Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: J.B., Clyde, Roy and Jim Muse; three sisters: two infants and Mary Ogle.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Diabetes Division, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
