Mrs. Minnie Murray Bethel of 417 Haynes, widow of Arthur Perry Bethel, died at 3:30 AM yesterday, July 4, at her home after a long illness. Burial in Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bethel was born in Nashville and moved to Memphis as a child. Her hobby was flowers and she operated a flower shop for about 25 years at Union and Claybrook. She was a member of the extension department of Temple Baptist Church.
Her husband, Arthur Bethel, a mechanic for the Southern Railway System, died in 1944.
She leaves two sisters who lived with her, Miss Pearl Murray and Mrs. Stewart M. Ferguson; and two brothers, George E. Murray of 779 Stonewall and Arthur Murray of 4929 Edenshire.
