NONA FAY MURRAY FARR
VERNAL, Utah—Funeral services for Nona Fay Murray Farr were April 19, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park.
There was a memorial service Monday, April 28, 2003, at 4 p.m. at the American Legion in Rock Springs.
Mrs. Farr, 68, died at her mother’s home in Vernal, Utah, on April 16, 2003, after a battle with cancer.
She was born April 28, 1934, in Meeker, Colo., to Paul and Ada Murray. She grew up in Jensen, Utah, and lived the last 20 years in Rock Springs.
Her interests included music, traveling and spending time with her family, especially camping and playing games.
She is survived by her mother, Ada Murray of Vernal; her longtime companion, Joel Gimble of Rock Springs; daughters, Wanda Estep Pechacek and Clair of Rock Springs, Joyce Estep and Dale Alberts of Pendleton, Ore.; sons, Pete Estep of Rock Springs and Billy McComsey and Laurie of Riverton; sisters, Geneva and Floyd Massey of Jensen, Utah, Nona and Alan Hemstreet of Granberry, Texas, Rhea and John Brimhall of Rock Springs, Janet Fitts of Tucson, Ariz., Carol and Brad McClellan of Vernal, and Lorna and Danny Oaks of Cowley; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Farr; father, Paul Murray; and her brothers, Floyd, Ernest and Lynn Murray.
