The last rites for Mrs. Rachel Murray were performed last Sunday. The funeral services being held under the auspices of the Maeser Bishopric, Elder John L. McConkie taking direct charge of the services. So many people were present that they were unable to find room in the Maeser Ward House.

Music was furnished by the Maeser ward choir. Elder James Hacking spoke of the life and splendid character of deceased and of his intimate acquaintance with her.

President Don B. Colton referred to the scientific investigations made by Sir Oliver Lodge upon the existence of a soul and the reasoning of Lyman Abbott upon the origin of a soul. The speaker also referred to evidence of revelation and the superiority of the knowledge it unfolds upon the future state and the consolation to be found in the fact that deceased would live again. He also spoke of her devotion as a wife and mother. A large cortege followed the remains to the Maeser Cemetery where they were laid to rest.
