She was the wife of John Franklin Murphy PVT Co. B 28 NC Infantry Confederate States Army b. 21 January 1842 d. 29 March 1877. He is buried one row SE of her. He lost part of his left arm and left leg in Petersburg, and still survived. He was only 35 years old when he died in Dallas, N.C., according to some genealogical records. They had approximately 9-10 children.
