MRS. ADAMS DEATH.

Mrs. Jane Adams, widow of Wilson Adams at one time sheriff of Monroe county, died unexpectedly at her home on east 6th street, Sunday morning at 4:30 o'clock. She had been in failing health for about three weeks with the grippe but her death was the result of a weak heart.

Mrs. Adams was 72 years of age, a member of the College Avenue M. E. church and an old lady of most lovable disposition. She was an ardent worker and as a member of the Relief Corp and Pythian sisters her works have been of the highest standard. She has one daughter Mrs. Jennie Barns with whom she was living at the time of her death. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. LaPothy of Quincy, and Mrs. Fleener whose home is in Illinois.

The funeral will be held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Collins and Rev. Telfer. The Women's Relief Corp and Pythian Sister will attend in a body. Special music will be furnished by a selected quartette. The pall bearers are: G. M. Whitaker, Prof. Foley, H. T. Kitson, A. O. Henry, F. J. Dietz, and John T. Woodward.
