HUBBARD – There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home for Sandra J. Murphy, 64, who passed away Friday, April 29, 2011, at home.
Sandra was born March 6, 1947, in Youngstown, a daughter of Edward and Jean Fillmore Kelly.
She was a 1965 graduate of Hubbard High School and later graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education.
She was a teacher for the Brookfield School System for 15 years.
She was truly selfless and completely devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was everything to everyone that loved her. How much she meant to her loved ones cannot be summed up in words, but she loved and was loved unconditionally.
Sandy was a loving wife, kind and caring mother, devoted grandmother, nunna and friend. She brought joy to her friends and neighbors, and her home was always open with a pot of hot coffee to all who stopped by. Her love and kind heart will be missed by many, but her memory will continue to live on in all of our hearts.
She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Murphy, whom she married Dec. 19, 1970; her children, Jason Murphy and Amanda (Gabriel) Wildman; her grandchildren, Chelsea Murphy and Noah Wildman; her mother, Jean Kelly; and her brother, Richard Kelly, all of Hubbard.
She was preceded in death by her father; her son, Chadd M. Murphy; and her brother, Ronald E. Kelly.
There will be calling hours Monday, May 2, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral home.
Burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
