"Mrs. Daniel Clemmens, resident of North Jackson for 66 years, died early Wednesday after a 14-day illness of arteriosclerosis. She would have been 79 years old on Christmas day. Mrs. Clemmens was born in Champion, Trumbull county, Dec. 25, 1863, and was married Feb. 13, 1876 (?). Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Alva F. Jones of this place; a sister, Mrs. Charles Leach of Youngstown, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Federated church."

"In our last communications we neglected to mention the sad news of the death of Chauncey M. Clemmens, the 10 year old son of Daniel Clemmens, who lives in the northern part of township, Chauncey M., was considered by all who knew him, to be a child who from birth, was of more ordinary intelligence, and was always admired wherever seen. He took the measles and had partially recovered, but inflammation of the brain set in, which caused his death on the 24th. ult."
