Mary Mada was born to William Filmore and Sallie Faris Murchison. She married Olan Welborn Davis January 1, 1914. They had the following children; Maola, Welborn Faris, Sally Lou.
William Filmore moved his family to Grapeland in 1909. He bought the George Hollingsworth house, which belonged to M.B. (Dick) Murchison at the time. This was a 25 acre site with a two story, eleven room house.
This home and land was inherited by Mada and her husband Olan W. Davis.
The home burned on March 17, 1946. Mada and Olan donated a portion of the land for Community Memorial Hospital in memory of her parents William Filmore and Sallie Spencer Faris Murchison.
Mada, Olan and two of their children are buried in this cemetery.
