ROSANNE ACOSTA
Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Wednesday for Rosanne Munoz Acosta, 34, 2401 Bonita, in the West Funeral Home chapel. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday at the San Jose Mission, both will be conducted by the Rev. Mark Sutton, San Jose Mission. Burial will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jose Acosta, Cecile Acosta, Rudy Acosta, Mario Munoz, Michael Munoz and Sammy Munoz.
She died Monday in the local hospital.
She was born in Carlsbad, attended school in Otis, and graduated from Carlsbad in 1968. She married Armando Acosta in 1971, in Carlsbad, then moving to Albuquerque for three years. Upon returning to Carlsbad she was employed at Potash Company of America, IMC, Southwestern Publc Service, American Bank, Carlsbad National Bank and Security Savings. She was a member of the San Jose Mission and belonged to a bowling league.
Survivors include her husband, Armando Acosta, three sons, Aaron Daniel Acosta, Michael Jerome Acosta, and Timothy Brian Acosta; her mother, Eliza H. Munoz; her grandmother, Angelita C. Hensley; three brothers, Mario H. Munoz, Michael H. Munoz and Sammy H. Munoz; and one sister, Patsy Munoz, all of Carlsbad.
