Charles Woodrow Mullinnix, 89, of 106 Hill Street, widower of Cecil Gertrude Merck Mullinnix, died April 9, 2004.

A native of Cannon, Georgia, son of the late Luther and Sara Boggs Mullinnix, he was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens Plant and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandi Knox of Greenville and Shirley Jean Thrower of Taylors; a sister, Kate Strickland, of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Jaime Knox, Cathy Orr and Keith Morgan; and three great-grandchildren, Danielle Orr and Carson and Cole Morgan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Howard Foster. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Keith Morgan, Jonathan Bolding, Henry Donald, Arnold Thrower, David Swayngham and Bill Strange.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, before the service, at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of the daughter, Shirley Thrower, 210 Tanner Road, Taylors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
