Myrtle (Mueller) Duffy, 91, Aitkin, formerly of McGregor and Minneapolis, died March 1, 2009, at the Aitkin Health Services in Aitkin.
Myrtle was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Robert and Ann (Platzer) Mueller. She grew up and attended schools in Minneapolis. She married John L. Duffy Jr. in August 1941. Myrtle lived and worked in North Minneapolis for many years. She moved to the Lake Minnewawa area near McGregor in 1985 where she had enjoyed spending time since she was a child. She has resided at the Aitkin Health Services for the past nine years.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Ronich (Hjalmer Fredrickson), McGregor; granddaughters, Penny (Chaz) Long, Ironton; and Barb (Carl "Red") Fredrickson, Mora; grandsons, Danny Ronich (Jennifer Lux), McGregor; and Frank (Roxanne) Ronich, Winneconne, Wis.; eight great-grandchildren, Kim (Gene) Davies, Aitkin; Jeff (Melissa) Fredrickson, Eagan; Missy (Nathan) Pojanouski, Mora; Jesse Ronich, Steve Ronich and Jenna Ronich all of McGregor; Derek Ronich, Winneconne, Wis.; and Fallon Ronich, Hampton, Va; two
great-great-grandchildren, Kaija and Cody Davies. Aitkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1983; brother, Robert (Earl) Mueller; and sister, Margaret (Beauchane) Creapo.
A funeral service will be held Thu., March 5, at 11 a.m. from the McGregor Funeral Home in McGregor. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in the Round Lake Cemetery.
