Mrs. P. S. Barber, Sr., 89, died at her home on West Main Street at 7 p.m. on Friday January 8, 1982. A daughter of the late Felix and Frances Mudd, she was preceded in death by her husband P. S. Barber, Sr., and one son Brother Joseph Barber, C. R. Survivors include eight daughters: Catherine Yancey Barber and Mrs. Leon Simms, Sr. (Delena), Springfield; Sister Frances and Sister Maude Michelle, Nazareth, Ky.; Sister Catherine Therese, Maple Mount, Owensboro; Mrs. Al Bowling (Mary Ann) Bardstown; Mrs. Joseph W. Wimasatt (Angela)Louisville; Mrs. Louis G. Kelly (Margaret), Madison, Ind; and three sons P. S. Barber, Springfield; Robert Barber, Fredericktown; and Aaron barber, Madison, Ind.; 34 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren survive. Also surviving are three sisters, Sister Angela Frances and Mrs. Walter Reynolds, Nazareth. Ky.; Mrs. Spencer Osborne, Bardstown; and one brother, Leo Mudd, Fredericktown. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Dominic Church at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11. Burial was in St. Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers were eight grandsons, Phil Sims, Phil Barber, Louis Kelly, Jr., Joe Wimsatt, Jr., Ben Wimsatt, Paul; Barber, Al Bowling, Jr. and Billy Barber.
