Shirley Moyle, 80, of Ionia, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services for Shirley Moyle will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the
Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. The Rev. Jim Carpenter, pastor, will
officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30,
and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.

Shirley Mae (Boggess) Moyle, the daughter of Glenn and Katherine (Mackumal)
Boggess, was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Alta Vista.

She received her education in Charles City.

Shirley was united in marriage to Gene Moyle on Oct. 31, 1970, in Galena,
Illinois.

She worked for 22 ½ years as a nurse’s aide at nursing homes, in private nursing
and for Hospice. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and crocheting in her
spare time, but especially loved spending time with her family and her beloved
pets.

Living family members include her husband of 43 years Gene of Ionia; children:
Glenda (Rick) White of Elk Run Heights, William (Thomasina) Reasland of
Lewiston, Idaho, Carol (David) Aldrich of Evansdale, Warren Reasland of
Henderson, Nevada and Todd Moyle of Waterloo; 16 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother Kenneth Boggess of
Charles City; along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and
friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Wilbur, Carl and
Dennis Boggess.
