DAY Flossie Imogene Day, quietly left this life Feb. 4, 2001, in Plano, TX. She was born Oct. 4, 1913, in Frederick, TiIlman Co., Okla., to Forrest and Dora Mounts. Flossie attended Webster Jr. High and Central High School in OKC, graduating in 1933. In 1935 she married Earl H. Day. They lived in the OKC area and in 1948 moved to Britton. Flossie worked at Melvin TyIers Gun Shop at Frontier City and the Britton Road location, until her retirement in 1978. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years; sister, Eva Conely and husband Doyle; stepmother, Jessie Dyche; son-in-law, Bill Clarkson. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Clarkson of Plano, TX; Virginia Scates and husband Julius of Edmond, OK; brother, Forrest (Bud) Mounts and wife Marguarite of Edmond; sister-in-law, Helen Vinyard and husband Les of Jones, OK; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Flossie was a dear and devoted mother. She loved her family above all and enjoyed her flowers, bird watching, reading and cooking. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or the charity of your choice. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday Feb. 10 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens. Friends may sign our electronic guestbook at Eemorial.com.
