Mrs. Louise Moulthrop White formerly of Monroeton, passed away Wednesday morning at the age of 87. Mrs. White was born July 20, 1873, in Towanda.
She and her late husband, Nathan, owned and operated a general store in Monroeton for years, and were held in high regard in that community. A number of years ago she moved to Rome.
She was a member of the Monroeton Methodist Church and of the Monroeton Repast Grand.
Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Harold Cranmer, of Apa;achin, NY; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Whalen of Towanda; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m at the Maryott Funeral Home, York Avenue, with the Rev. Burton Williams, pastor of the Monroeton Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery at the convenience of the family. RHW. Towanda Daily Review 1961.
