Frances Marian Adams, 86, of Chesterfield went to be with her Lord June 26, 2006. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Rev. James Herman Adams; two sons, Donald E. Adams and Robert P. Adams; her daughter, Carol Barkstrom; eight grandchildren, Hayes Adams, Amanda Berglund, Dawn Moore, Shaun Farrell, Adam Barkstrom, Dru Adams, Jaime Adams and Allison Ballos; 10 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Mary Ann Champion, Bettye Joyce Wilson; and her devoted friends, Gloria and Ed Myers, Watt and Mary Flippo, and Sharon Franklin. She and Rev. Adams retired from the ministry at Red Lane Baptist Church, and served many other churches in the local area. The family will receive friends 5 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday (today), at Bliley Funeral Homes' Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adams Scholarship Fund, c/o Red Lane Baptist Church, 2095 Red Lane Rd., Powhatan, Va. 23139, or the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 9600 Midlothian Tpk., Richmond, Va. 23235.
