CONCORD, Mass. - Floy Hamilton Morway, 94, of Concord, Mass., died as she wished, peacefully, in her sleep, on June 8, 2012, at Neville Center in Cambridge, Mass.
Author of the memoir, "The Cat Lady of Concord," Floy founded the rescue organization, Adpot-A-Cat, and received numerous awards for her work with animals. She remained active into her early nineties seeking homes for cats and dogs in need.
Floy will be remembered by all who loved her as a compassionate soul with a great sense of humor and as a beautiful woman who knew how to enjoy life!
She is survived by her son, Jack Morway of Cambridge; and numerous beloved friends and extended family members, including four great- grandchildren.
Services and interment are private.
