WATERVILLE - Eleanora "Babs" Morway, 93, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Mount St. Joseph in Waterville. She was born in Worcester, Mass., Dec. 15, 1917, the youngest child of Anthony and Anna (Lavis) Paulukonis.
She graduated from Commerce High School in 1936 and Fairchild Office School in Worcester, Mass.
She and her late husband, Bernard J. Morway, moved to Fairfield in 1944, and owned and operated Admor Cleaners in Waterville for 36 years. Mrs. Morway was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Winslow, where she lived for 20 years. She volunteered at Thayer hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are four daughters, Barbara Harvey and husband William of Manchester, Beverly Watts and friend Charles of Augusta, Betty Smith and husband Ronald W. of Kennebunk, and Bonnie Largess and husband James of Newry; grandchildren Eric and Margot Rollins, Polly Smith Newhall, the twins Adam and Jake, and Samantha Largess; four great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews.
Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville. (Morning Sentinel 4/28/2011)
