Eileen Hornby passed away peacefully at her home on August 22, 2009. She resided at 1126 South Hollow View Way (6945 South) in West Jordan, Utah at the time of her death.
She was born August 22, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Alice McCormick Morton.
She married Robert C. Hornby on May 5, 1951. She retired from the Utah Department of Job Services. She spent many years volunteering at Pioneer Valley Hospital. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in West Jordan, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Bill Morton. She is survived by her daughter Robin (Brent) Christensen. Grandson, Brian Christensen and granddaughter, Michelle Christensen, and four great-grandchildren.
According to Eileen's wishes, a Committal Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and "T" Street.
