SPRING CITY - Elva Mortensen Allred, Beloved, Wife, Mother and grandmother, died March 18, 1981, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Born April 17, 1903, in Spring City, to Marinus and Mary Matson Mortensen. Married Royal L. Allred, August 22, 1918, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, serving as Stake Primary President, Teacher in Sunday School, MIA, and a Visiting Teacher in Relief Society. Ordinance worker int he Manti LDS Temple for 2 ½ years. Sang in the ward choir for 60 years. Served as Captain of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Canal Creek Camp. Worked in the School Lunch program. Survivors: husband, Spring City; sons, Royal N., Saudi Arabia; Roger, Spring City; Ned, Provo; daughter, Mrs. Gerald E. (Leila Ruth) Nielson, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Virt S. (Olive) Barney, Delta, Utah. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 1981, 1:00 p.m., in the Spring City Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Chapel, two hours prior to the services. Burial, Spring City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Ursenbach Funeral Home.
