She was the wife of the late John P. Marlun, who died in 1999, and the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Barrett) Morse. She graduated from Concord High School and received her bachelor's degree from Boston University.
She taught school in Concord for several years, and later was a substitute teacher in Woburn's elementary schools while raising her family. She had made her home in Woburn since 1954.
An artistic and creative person, she enjoyed painting, gardening, and baking, and particularly enjoyed creating flower arrangements. She devoted herself to her family and greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband John, were a brother, John Higgins, and a sister, Mary Titlebaum. Surviving are three daughters: Carol S. Doherty and her husband John of Melrose, Nancy A. Legere and her husband Charles of Tewksbury, and Mary A. Stone and her husband Lee of Wrentham; a brother, Frederick Morse of Acton, and a sister, Ethel Iannarelli of Maynard. She was also the beloved grandmother of Christopher and Michael Carpenter, John Doherty, Jr., and Matthew Stone.
