Word was received Saturday of the death of Mrs. Richard Defer, 29, on April 26, at Homestead,
Mrs. Defer, the former Isabelle Morrison, was born December 31, 1931, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Morrison of Yuba.
She attended local schools and graduated from Traverse City high school in 1947. She attended Michigan State University for two years. On September 5, 1951, she married Richard Defer of Traverse City, now a lieutenant in the U. S. Air Force.
Surviving besides her husband are two children, Richard Jr., and Connie; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Morrison; two brother, Peter Morrison, Jr. and Bruce Morrison, both of Yuba; two sisters, Mrs. Clare Kopkau of Largo, Florida, and Mrs. Edward Pollister of Elk Rapids.
The body arrived in Traverse City, Monday noon and was taken to the Hibbard Funeral Chapel where services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Dr. Howard R. Towne will officiate with interment in the family lot in the Yuba Cemetery.
