Statesboro - Joyce Morrison Thompson, 84, died June 27 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. She was a native of Hawthorne, Fla. and lived in Jacksonville, Fla., before moving to Statesboro 15 years ago. She was a homemaker.

Survivors: her husband, L.C. Thompson of Statesboro; a son, Robert B. Burkhalter of Columbus, Ohio; three stepsons, Terry D. and Norman D. Thompson, both of Statesboro, and Charles L. Thompson of Ft. White, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Elaine Davis of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Ruby M. Pierce of Mobile, Ala.; and a brother, Edwin R. Morrison of Claire, England.

Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bulloch Memorial Gardens. Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home, Statesboro.
