Katherine E. Kelley, 62, of Avondale, formerly of Lowell, MA, passed away March 29, 2010 surrounded by family.
She was born June 28, 1947 in Lowell, Massachusetts, to John and Margaret Morrison. She moved to Arizona in 1993. Katherine graduated from Lowell High School, and then went on to receive her nursing degree at Holy Ghost Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
She was married to Robert Kelley March 12, 1971. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale, AZ. She was a wonderful mother, sister, and wife.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert Kelley, of Avondale; her daughters, Colleen, of Chelsmford, MA, Erin, of Grapevine, TX, and Megan, of Phoenix; her sister, Pat Repine, of Glendale; brother, Michael Morrison, of Highland, CA; and four grandchildren, Joshua, Cory, Hunter and Hailey.
Katherine is also loved and remembered by her extended family and lifelong friends throughout New England.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, AZ from 5-8 p.m. Mass will be Thursday, April 8, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, AZ.
