Died, at her home at Auburn at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1898, of consumption, Mrs. Bertha J. Morris, wife of Wide [Willis] Morris, aged 26 years and 8 months. Mrs. Morris has been ill several months. She was born west of Springfield. Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Johnnie and Thomas, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Mull, three and a half miles west of this city; three sisters, Misses Hattie, Bertha and Lydia Mull, and two brothers, William and Geo. Mull, all living west of Springfield, and C. Hancock, an uncle, residing on West Allen street. The funeral will take place at Grace Lutheran church. The interment will be at Oak Ridge cemetery. IL State Register, Springfield, IL 2-10-1898
