Born February 21, 1910, in Warehouse Point, she had been a communicant of St. John Church and a Cromwell resident for 65 years.
She devoted most of her life as a mom and homemaker on Shadow Lane in Cromwell. She was also employed by Aetna Life Insurance Company and the Cromwell Water Department, and retired from the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
She was a life member of the Cromwell Historical Society and a long-time member of the Cromwell Home Club, Cromwell Senior Citizens, and Court St. Cecilia Catholic Daughters of America. Her hobbies included oil painting and her flower garden.
Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, John, and a sister, Julia Couture, she is survived by her sister, Nancy Corbin of Torrington; her daughter, Joan Harper of San Luis Obispo, CA; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Anne Franklin of Higganum; four grandchildren, Susan Harper Dearing of Bend, OR, Richard Harper of Olympia, WA, Charles Franklin of Biddeford, ME, and Amy Franklin of Medford, MA; and two great grandchildren, Noah Franklin of Biddeford, and Ian Harper of Olympia.
Funeral services will be held at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St., Cromwell, Wed., Nov, 28, 9 a.m., and at St. John Church, Cromwell, 10 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
