Because of the era she and Jacob lived in. We never knew them personaly. But we do have written histories, family stories and or journals to help us piece together something about their lives. This is my attempt to do so.

She is a Farmer's wife and a mother of fourteen children. Having that many children she was most likely good at providing for the household. Jacob being a loving husband and father. He would have made sure she had some chickens and a milk cow. If they were realy blessed she may have even had some sheep. She would shear them and have wool to make clothes for the family. That many hands probably helped her make butter and maybe some cheese. She either had a hearth or wood stove to cook and bake on. Those iron stoves could be very cantankerous. They didn't have a temperature gage. It took a little experimenting on her part. But once she knew how to read and use it. The food and bake goods were probably the best home cooked food anyone could wish for.

Cassinda is a daughter of Evan Reynolds and Dorthe Truity. We don't know if she and any siblings. She is the wife to my husband's 2nd Great Granduncle, Jacob Morris Jr. She married Jacob Jr. on 6 Aug. 1865 in Leavenworth Co., Kansas. She and Jacob have fourteen children. We have all fourteen names from a Family Bible. A cousin Elinor (Dale) Scheer shared the info with us. We do not know who is in possession of the Bible. We have found the parents and twelve of the childrens burial places. Two children were less then twenty-four hours old when they died in Kansas. We have no idea where these two may have been buried. Serveral children married and have children of their own. If anyone has the documentation and asks. We will gladly make any corrections or additiond.
