Kathryn "Katie" (Yazevac) Morris, 69, of Marshall, died Sunday, March 12, 1995, in Oaklawn Hospital, Marshall, after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Langeloth, Pa., to Eli and Mildred (Tepsic) Yazevac and moved to Marshall in 1953.
She was employed at the William E. Morgan Medical Care Facility, Marshall Manor and Provincial House as a health-care provider. She also cared for the elderly in their own homes and was employed in maintenance at the Calhoun County Building.
She enjoyed caring for her family, Sunday family dinners, bingo and playing board games with her grandchildren.
She married William A. Morris in 1947, in Pennsylvania. He died March 4, 1974.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Lonnie R. Morris; a daughter, Carol Gonzales in 1979; brothers, Alexander Yazevac in 1978, Samuel Yazevac in 1994 and John Yazevac in 1939; and a sister, Betty Kendricks.
Surviving are sons, William W., Ricky L. and Daniel B. Morris of Marshall; daughters, Kathy J. Dye and Debbie S. Mains of Marshall; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael Yazevac of Burgettstown, Pa., and George Yazevac of Langeloth, Pa.; and sisters, Helen Vujaklya, Mary Polewac and Sally S. Wilson of Weirton, W.V., Anne Polewac of New Cumberland, W.V., Mildred Levine of Oceanside, N.Y., Evelyn Bertovich of Burgettstown, Pa., and Jane Yazevac of Long Beach, N.Y.
Visitation: At Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home, Marshall.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Vic Heal officiating.
Burial: Lyon Lake Cemetery.
Memorials: Visiting Nurse Service of Southern Michigan or Good Samariton[sic] Hospice.
