She was born September 22, 1915, in Junction, Utah, a daughter of McKinley and Flora Ahlstrom Morrill. She married Mark Kermit Anderson, August 5, 1937, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She graduated from Piute High School and Brigham Young University with a BA in Education. She taught in the Alpine School District as an elementary school teacher in the sixth, fourth, and third grades. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was active in Orem Women's Club. She was an avid reader, beautiful seamstress, wonderful friend, mother, grandmother, teacher and homemaker. She was very artistic and creative. Above all, she treasured her family.
She is survived by her husband, Kermit of Orem; her children, Thayle K. (Patricia) Anderson, Murray, Kentucky; Flora L. (Alan) Gillman, Alpine; Marcia L. (Briant) Herzog, Dallas, Texas; Kirk M. (Rebecca) Anderson, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Helen Hood, Leeds; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Marshall, Orem. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Shirl and Max Morrill.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Sharon Second Ward, 641 South 400 East, Orem. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, and Wednesday at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
