Bertha M. McFadden, 90, a longtime resident of Manson, died Friday evening in a Chelan hospital.
Born Bertha Morley on Feb. 1, 1887, at Abilene, Kan., she grew up there and on Oct. 14, 1908, married Charles A. McFadden at Minneapolis, Kan.
Following their marriage, the moved to Warrenton, Ore., in 1909, and later moved to Bay Center in 1910. They later moved to Astoria, Ore., and in 1912, they moved to Texas. In 1914, they moved to Oklahoma and came to the Manson area May of 1935.
Surviving are two sons, Marion, Manson, and Kenneth, Chelan; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer Lepley, Manson; one sister, Mrs. Grady Shearer, Brookshire, Texas; then grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
