Lore Lugo, 77, of Junction City, died June 9, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Lore was born May 14, 1937 in Heilbronn-Bockingen, Germany, the daughter of Adolf Christian and Emilie Marie (Rossler) Morgenthaler. She attended schools and graduated from high school in Germany. She moved to Junction City with her family in 1967, as her husband was in the U.S. Army.
Lore was the Food Service Supervisor at Ware Elementary for Unified School District 475, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of both the William Leroy Talbot Post 8773 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Earl C. Gormley Post 45 of the American Legion, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, all of Junction City. Lore love playing bingo, and would travel many miles to do so.
Lore married Juan B. Lugo on March 10, 1956 in Elizabethtown, Ky. He died July 29, 1999.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. June 12 at the Fort Riley Cemetery, with Pastor Matthew Glasgow presiding. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. June 11 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, Junction City.
