Maxyne Morgan Baird age 78, of Water Valley, MS, passed away in the Yalobusha County General Hospital early Sunday morning, January 21, 2007. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS.
The family will receive friends at Seven Oaks on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 4:00 Pm until 7:00 PM. The services will be held in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 with Dr. Randy Bain officiating and her son-in-law Jim Arrington assisting. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley with her sons-in-law and grandsons serving as pallbearers. They are Rod Beard, John Mitchell, Phill Hollister, Wayne Roberts, Brett Beard, Stephen Melton, Daniel Roberts and David Roberts. Honorary pallbearer is Dudley Kelley.
Survivors include: husand, Richard Murray Baird of Water Valley, MS: daughters, Xandra ( Rod ) Beard of Marietta, GA, Veverly (Jim) Arrington of Cecil, AL, Laurali (Phill) Hollister of Huntsville, AL and Melody (Wayne) Roberts of Thomasville, GA: one brother, D. C. Morgan of Shertz, TX; Grandchildren, Brett (Laurie) Beard, Brooke (Stephen) Melton, Heather (John) Mitchell, Ashley Arrington, Lindsay Moore, Daniel Roberts, Brittany Roberts and David Roberts; Great Grandchildren, Bryson Beard, Ashlyn Beard, Tatum Mitchell and Tyler Mitchell.
Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by; her parents, Clinton and Christine Morgan; brothers, Charles Luther Morgan and Sammie Lee Morgan;sister, Nettye Mae Wallace; and a granddaughter Morgan Roberts.
