Jay R. Morgan, 49, of Magnolia Avenue, Clarksburg, and formerly of Fairmont and Monongah, passed away Wednesday (Sept. 12, 2007) after a brief battle with cancer.
Jay was born on Aug. 23, 1958, son of Janet Bartholow of Fairmont and the late Pete Bartholow and Arnold Ray Morgan of Florida.
Jay grew up and attended schools in Monongah and then went on to West Fairmont High School graduating with the class of 1976.
Jay was previously employed at Urse Dodge in Fairmont and most recently at Country Club Chrysler in Clarksburg. He was an avid bowler and was well known in the Fairmont area for the many bowling leagues he had participated in.
In addition to his mother, Jay is survived by two sisters and a brother, Donna Snyder and husband Tim of Enterprise, Beverly Colisino and husband Harry of Carolina and Keith Birdsell and wife Julie of Clarksburg; as well as four nieces and six nephews.
Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Blanche Arnold and Delbert and Eva Morgan.
Domico Funeral Home Fairmont is in charge of arrangements. There will be no funeral home visitation. Graveside service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens on East Grafton Rd. for any who wish to attend. Chad Keener will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jay's memory to the American Cancer Society, 112 South High St. Morgantown, WV 26501 or to Tender Loving Care Hospice, 119 Pennsylvania Ave. Bridgeport, WV 26330.
