The daughter of James Louis Morgan and Lucinda "Parilee" McCullough, Georgia married William Louis Farlow in the late 1930's. He was the son of Thomas William Farlow and Elizabeth Louella Sneed.

Georgia and William lived in Alexander County, Illinois when they were first married, but later moved to Hartford in Madison County, Illinois.

Georgia and William were the parents of 5 children, including a set of fraternal twins who both died the day they were born in October 1946.

Children from first marriage: 3 daughters, 2 sons.

After her marriage to William ended, Georgia married Herschel B. Ballew in the 1940's. In addition to the 3 surviving children from her first marriage, Georgia and Herschel had 6 more children.

In 1957, Georgia and her 12-year-old daughter, (Living) Farlow, were passengers in a car driven by Herschel when it collided head-on with a truck on Highway 111 at Thomas Street in Roxana, Illinois.

The road conditions were icy, and the car skidded into the path of the truck. Georgia was killed, and her daughter and husband were injured. The driver of the truck was not hurt.

At the time of her death, Georgia was 39 years and 10 months old. Her children ranged in age from 11 months to 17 years of age at the time of her loss.

Children from second marriage: 2 daughters, 4 sons.

Georgia was survived by her second husband, Herschel; her mother, Parilee Morgan; 4 daughters; and 5 sons.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Morgan; an infant daughter, Elizabeth Farlow; and an infant son, Delvis Farlow.

Visitation was held on 04 Feb 1957 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, Illinois. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. the following afternoon at the Assembly of God Church in South Roxana.

In 1968, one of Georgia's sons, Henry Herschel "Hersch" Ballew, was killed in Vietnam at the age of 18.
