|Birth: ||Aug. 18, 1920|
|Death: ||Aug. 8, 2010|
Frances was born in Monarch, Sheridan, Wyoming. She passed away quietly early Sunday morning, August 8, 2010 of natural causes in Bountiful, Utah.
She married Raymond Smith Holtry on February 10, 1938. Later, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Ray, and two daughters, Lois Jean and Deanna Ray. She is survived by her three sons, Frank M., Donald Gene, and Richard Kieth. She is the grandmother of seventeen grandkids and thirty-nine 1/2 great-grand-kids.
Frances welcomed into her home all who needed a loving place to stay. She took care of her own mother for eighteen years and at least eight others who lived with her months and sometimes years.
The Savior said, "In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these, ye have done it unto me." Her greatest love was to nurture children. She loved being able to tend them, take them on camping trips, and to Cherry Hill, her favorite camping place. She loved her own grandchildren, but she loved the children that she tended like her own.
Frances was not any old regular grandma, she was a FUN grandma! She could talk to the adults but was always throwing a ball or playing a game with the kids.
Frances, as a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was forever faithful in her service to the Lord. She served as: ward relief society and primary presidents, stake relief society president for seven years, church service missionary, and many other callings. Frances lived the two great commandments by loving God and her neighbor like herself.
