Zelina E Hess, 103, occupational therapist
Zelina E. "Sammy" Morehouse Hess, 103, of Lafayette died at 3:23 a.m. Tuesday in Heritage health Care in West Lafayette.
Mrs. Hess worked for several years as secretary for the Lafayette Painters and Decorators Union, then moved to Dallas, Texas, where she was an occupational therapist at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Born Nov. 17, 1888, in Lafayette she attended the Hebron School in Lafayette and graduated from Lafayette Business College.
She returned to Lafayette in 1965, living at the Indiana Pythian Home until October 1984, when she moved to Heritage.
Mrs. Hess was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, Hope Chapter 5 in Lafayette, and had received her 50-year pin.
There are no immediate survivors.
