Page 244. Will. I, John Morefeild of L, being very sick and weak in body - To my daughter Jane and to my grandson John Morefield - the land I now live on. To my daughters Jane and Elizabeth Morefeild - all my living stock, household furniture. Executrixes - my daughters Jane and Elizebeth Morefield. Signed May 13, 1751 (1750??) - John Morfeild (1 his mark). Witnesses - Thomas Blanks, Elleckzander Strainge. At Oct 3, 1751 Court, the within will of the deceased was exhibited by both executrixes, and the same was proved by the oaths of the witnesses, and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of the executrixes, certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof, they having first, with John Ashworth and Thomas Blanks, their securities, entered into [bond] for the due execution of the will.
