He was a retired employee of Weirton Steel where he had been a plant security guard. He was member of the plant's 25-year club.
Mr. Moredock was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Weirton, where he was an elder and member of other church organizations. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
His first wife, Thelma L. Moredock, died February 7, 1965.
Surviving are his second wife, Eva Colegrove Smith Moredock; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Bealou) Jones of Paris, Mrs. Robert (Karen) Cunningham of Weirton and Mrs. John (Ria Jane) Sobolewski of Cleveland, Ohio; one son. A. Rex Moredock of Weirton; one brother, Ray Moredock of Jefferson; one sister, Mrs. Herbert DeBolt of Masontown, and nine grandchildren.
Two brothers are deceased.
