Bernice Abel, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 19, 1923 in Dallas Co., TX to the late George L. and Virgie Belle Ford Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John M. Abel on July 28, 2003. Surviving are a son, Johnny (Mary Pat) Abel of Owensboro, two daughters, Leslie Ann (Tony) Crask of Madison, IN and Gabby (Jerry) Roby of Whitesville, 15 grandchildren, Shane Abel, Cory Abel, Ryan Abel, Troy Abel, Kelly Truong, Kasie Abel, Bernadette Hagan, Michael Hagan, Eric Hagan, Heather Howell, Greg Roby, Pepper Thiel, Matt Roby, Olivia Roby, and Helen Boarman, 16 great grandchildren, and a brother, Frank Moore of Lancaster, TX. Services are 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 13 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
