On June 13, 1866, Dr. Moore married Elizabeth Acklan, daughter of Welbourn Acklan of Adams county, Illinois, and four children have been born to them: Edgar W. lives in Kansas City, Kan.; Charles S. is a resident of Hoquiam, Wash.; Alice is the wife of D. H. Woods of Effingham; and Dr. Orville O. resides in Topeka, Kan.

Mrs. P. R. Moore Of Effingham Is Dead
A long, helpful, active life ended today when Mrs. Elizabeth Acklen Moore, Widow of the late Dr. P. R. Moore, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. H. Woods, in Effingham.
Mrs. Moore had been critically ill since she suffered a broken hip in a fall November 9 at the Wood's home, where she had lived since the death of Dr. Moore five years ago.
Born Hall, England, May 25, 1848, Mrs. Moore came to America with her parents when she was one year old. The family settled at Camp Point, Ill., where Mrs. Moore grew to womanhood and became the wife of Dr. Peter Risdon Moore June 13, 1867.
Dr. and Mrs. Moore were the parents of six children, two of whom died in infancy. A son, Dr. Orville Moore, died at his home in Effingham in 1926. The surviving children are Mrs. Woods and E. W. Moore of Effingham and Smith Moore of Hoquiam, Wash.
When Dr. and Mrs. Moore came to Kansas in 1874 they first located at Pardee. Later they lived two years at Everest and two years at Nortonville, locating in Effingham in 1883. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at Effingham June 13, 1917. Dr. Moore's death occurred in March, 1927.
Funeral services will be held at the Effingham Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. THe Rev. H. E. Ballou of Effingham will be in charge. Mrs. Moore was a lifelong member of the Christian church. Burial will be beside the bodies of her husband and son in the Effingham cemetery. Sawin & Douglass are in charge of arrangements.
