Jesse Ray Moore, 77, of Maryville, Ill., born July 3, 1938, in Benton, Ill., passed away at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at his home. Mr. Moore had worked many years as an exceptionally gifted salesman and sales manager with Shipping Utilities in St. Louis, Mo. Jesse was the owner and operator of J&J Supply Company in Collinsville for 18 years retiring in 2003. Also, he and his wife own California Styles Salon in Collinsville, Ill. The United States veteran proudly served four years with the Navy. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Fairmont City, Ill., and had been a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville. He cherished the years serving as caddy and being very active with his son's career in golf. Jesse enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He lived life to its fullest and was always trying to help others in their lives. Anyone who ever met Jesse knows that he never met a stranger. He touched more lives and will be sadly missed by more people than can possibly be listed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Dwight and Bonnie, nee Shaw, Moore; and two brothers, Robert Moore and Frank Moore. Surviving are his beloved wife of 46 years, Diane M., nee Kuebel, Moore, whom he married on June 14, 1969, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Steven Shea of Collinsville; a son, Scott Moore and Michelle Faust of Maryville; three grandchildren, Savanna Shea, Tate Moore and Averi Moore; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Juanita Scrutchfield of Des Moines, Iowa and Marie and Jim Shockley of Yukon, Okla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Patricia Moore of Champaign, Ill.; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Moore of Salem, Ill., Sandra Care of West Frankfort, Ill., and Mary Kay Lipson of St. Charles, Mo.; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
